October challenge....

A healthy mind is essential for overall wellbeing. If you can keep calm, positive and focused, you can be pretty much invincible!

Meditation is a practice that has been around ‘forever’ and is far more widely promoted nowadays with science supporting the effects it can have in benefiting health and ‘decluttering’ and calming the mind.

The app ‘insight timer’ is hosting an October challenge with new meditations to follow daily, each no longer than 10 minutes.

So many people say to me ‘I can’t meditate, I get fidgety, the giggles, restless, etc, etc,’. Often these people are the most hectic and who, in my opinion, would benefit greatly from a ten minute ‘time out’!

So, what have you got to lose? 10 minutes of your time, which even if the meditation doesn’t go as you wished, has given you the opportunity to rest briefly. And what have you got to gain? Mental clarity, decreased stress levels, potential for reduced blood pressure, increased calm and wellbeing... the list goes on.
